Rumble Insiders Sell US$14m Of Stock, Possibly Signalling Caution
Many Rumble Inc. (NASDAQ:RUM) insiders ditched their stock over the past year, which may be of interest to the company's shareholders. When evaluating insider transactions, knowing whether insiders are buying is usually more beneficial than knowing whether they are selling, as the latter can be open to many interpretations. However, shareholders should take a deeper look if several insiders are selling stock over a specific time period.
While insider transactions are not the most important thing when it comes to long-term investing, logic dictates you should pay some attention to whether insiders are buying or selling shares.

The Last 12 Months Of Insider Transactions At Rumble
Over the last year, we can see that the biggest insider sale was by the Director, Ryan Milnes, for US$5.1m worth of shares, at about US$4.65 per share. That means that an insider was selling shares at slightly below the current price (US$6.06). We generally consider it a negative if insiders have been selling, especially if they did so below the current price, because it implies that they considered a lower price to be reasonable. However, while insider selling is sometimes discouraging, it's only a weak signal. This single sale was just 50% of Ryan Milnes's stake.

Rumble Insiders Are Selling The Stock
The last three months saw significant insider selling at Rumble. Specifically, Lead Independent Director Robert Arsov ditched US$2.0m worth of shares in that time, and we didn't record any purchases whatsoever. In light of this it's hard to argue that all the insiders think that the shares are a bargain.
Insider Ownership Of Rumble
Many investors like to check how much of a company is owned by insiders. We usually like to see fairly high levels of insider ownership. It's great to see that Rumble insiders own 53% of the company, worth about US$860m. I like to see this level of insider ownership, because it increases the chances that management are thinking about the best interests of shareholders.
