The Last 12 Months Of Insider Transactions At Perimeter Solutions

Notably, that recent purchase by Jorge Valladares is the biggest insider purchase of Perimeter Solutions shares that we've seen in the last year. That implies that an insider found the current price of US$7.50 per share to be enticing. Of course they may have changed their mind. But this suggests they are optimistic. While we always like to see insider buying, it's less meaningful if the purchases were made at much lower prices, as the opportunity they saw may have passed. In this case we're pleased to report that the insider bought shares at close to current prices. The only individual insider to buy over the last year was Jorge Valladares.

Insider Ownership Of Perimeter Solutions

I like to look at how many shares insiders own in a company, to help inform my view of how aligned they are with insiders. I reckon it's a good sign if insiders own a significant number of shares in the company. Perimeter Solutions insiders own about US$62m worth of shares. That equates to 5.7% of the company. This level of insider ownership is good but just short of being particularly stand-out. It certainly does suggest a reasonable degree of alignment.

What Might The Insider Transactions At Perimeter Solutions Tell Us?

The recent insider purchase is heartening. And the longer term insider transactions also give us confidence. But on the other hand, the company made a loss during the last year, which makes us a little cautious. When combined with notable insider ownership, these factors suggest Perimeter Solutions insiders are well aligned, and that they may think the share price is too low.
