Some have more dollars than sense, they say, so even companies that have no revenue, no profit, and a record of falling short, can easily find investors. And in their study titled Who Falls Prey to the Wolf of Wall Street?' Leuz et. al. found that it is 'quite common' for investors to lose money by buying into 'pump and dump' schemes.

If, on the other hand, you like companies that have revenue, and even earn profits, then you may well be interested in Pan Jit International (TPE:2481). Even if the shares are fully valued today, most capitalists would recognize its profits as the demonstration of steady value generation. In comparison, loss making companies act like a sponge for capital - but unlike such a sponge they do not always produce something when squeezed.

How Fast Is Pan Jit International Growing?

If a company can keep growing earnings per share (EPS) long enough, its share price will eventually follow. It's no surprise, then, that I like to invest in companies with EPS growth. Over the last three years, Pan Jit International has grown EPS by 4.5% per year. While that sort of growth rate isn't amazing, it does show the business is growing.

I like to take a look at earnings before interest and (EBIT) tax margins, as well as revenue growth, to get another take on the quality of the company's growth. Pan Jit International maintained stable EBIT margins over the last year, all while growing revenue 6.3% to NT$9.9b. That's progress.

Are Pan Jit International Insiders Aligned With All Shareholders?

I like company leaders to have some skin in the game, so to speak, because it increases alignment of incentives between the people running the business, and its true owners. So it is good to see that Pan Jit International insiders have a significant amount of capital invested in the stock. With a whopping NT$1.5b worth of shares as a group, insiders have plenty riding on the company's success. That holding amounts to 8.2% of the stock on issue, thus making insiders influential, and aligned, owners of the business.

Is Pan Jit International Worth Keeping An Eye On?

As I already mentioned, Pan Jit International is a growing business, which is what I like to see. If that's not enough on its own, there is also the rather notable levels of insider ownership. The combination sparks joy for me, so I'd consider keeping the company on a watchlist. What about risks? Every company has them, and we've spotted 2 warning signs for Pan Jit International (of which 1 can't be ignored!) you should know about.

Although Pan Jit International certainly looks good to me, I would like it more if insiders were buying up shares. If you like to see insider buying, too, then this free list of growing companies that insiders are buying, could be exactly what you're looking for.
