Even if it's not a huge purchase, we think it was good to see that Erik Stenfors, the Founder of Hanza AB (publ) (STO:HANZA) recently shelled out kr734k to buy stock, at kr73.41 per share. However, it only increased their shares held by 1.7%, and it wasn't a huge purchase by absolute value, either.

The Last 12 Months Of Insider Transactions At Hanza

The Senior VP & COO, Andreas Nordin, made the biggest insider sale in the last 12 months. That single transaction was for kr18m worth of shares at a price of kr87.00 each. While insider selling is a negative, to us, it is more negative if the shares are sold at a lower price. The silver lining is that this sell-down took place above the latest price (kr71.70). So it may not tell us anything about how insiders feel about the current share price.

Over the last year, we can see that insiders have bought 20.00k shares worth kr1.4m. But they sold 298.09k shares for kr25m. Over the last year we saw more insider selling of Hanza shares, than buying. You can see a visual depiction of insider transactions (by companies and individuals) over the last 12 months, below. What Might The Insider Transactions At Hanza Tell Us?

It is good to see the recent insider purchase. However, the longer term transactions are not so encouraging. Overall, we'd prefer see a more sustained buying from directors, but with a significant insider holding and more recent purchases, Hanza insiders are reasonably well aligned, and optimistic for the future.
