Insiders Could Have Profited By Holding onto Absolent Air Care Group Shares Despite 10% Drop
Even though Absolent Air Care Group AB (publ) (STO:ABSO) has fallen by 10% over the past week , insiders who sold kr18m worth of stock over the past year have had less luck. The average selling price of kr350 is still lower than the current share price, or in other words, insiders would have been better off holding on to their shares.
Although we don't think shareholders should simply follow insider transactions, we would consider it foolish to ignore insider transactions altogether.

Absolent Air Care Group Insider Transactions Over The Last Year
The insider, Axel Berntsson, made the biggest insider sale in the last 12 months. That single transaction was for kr18m worth of shares at a price of kr350 each. While we don't usually like to see insider selling, it's more concerning if the sales take place at a lower price. It's of some comfort that this sale was conducted at a price well above the current share price, which is kr248. So it is hard to draw any strong conclusion from it. Axel Berntsson was the only individual insider to sell shares in the last twelve months.

Insider Ownership
For a common shareholder, it is worth checking how many shares are held by company insiders. A high insider ownership often makes company leadership more mindful of shareholder interests. Absolent Air Care Group insiders own about kr370m worth of shares. That equates to 14% of the company. This level of insider ownership is good but just short of being particularly stand-out. It certainly does suggest a reasonable degree of alignment.
