Here's Why I Think ElensysLtd (KOSDAQ:264850) Is An Interesting Stock
Some have more dollars than sense, they say, so even companies that have no revenue, no profit, and a record of falling short, can easily find investors. But as Peter Lynch said in One Up On Wall Street, 'Long shots almost never pay off.'
If, on the other hand, you like companies that have revenue, and even earn profits, then you may well be interested in ElensysLtd (KOSDAQ:264850). Now, I'm not saying that the stock is necessarily undervalued today; but I can't shake an appreciation for the profitability of the business itself. While a well funded company may sustain losses for years, unless its owners have an endless appetite for subsidizing the customer, it will need to generate a profit eventually, or else breathe its last breath.

How Fast Is ElensysLtd Growing Its Earnings Per Share?
Even with very modest growth rates, a company will usually do well if it improves earnings per share (EPS) year after year. So it's no surprise that some investors are more inclined to invest in profitable businesses. Like a firecracker arcing through the night sky, ElensysLtd's EPS shot from ₩48.09 to ₩123, over the last year. Year on year growth of 156% is certainly a sight to behold.
I like to see top-line growth as an indication that growth is sustainable, and I look for a high earnings before interest and taxation (EBIT) margin to point to a competitive moat (though some companies with low margins also have moats). While we note ElensysLtd's EBIT margins were flat over the last year, revenue grew by a solid 17% to ₩61b. That's progress.

Since ElensysLtd is no giant, with a market capitalization of ₩65b, so you should definitely check its cash and debt before getting too excited about its prospects.
Are ElensysLtd Insiders Aligned With All Shareholders?
Personally, I like to see high insider ownership of a company, since it suggests that it will be managed in the interests of shareholders. So we're pleased to report that ElensysLtd insiders own a meaningful share of the business. In fact, they own 71% of the company, so they will share in the same delights and challenges experienced by the ordinary shareholders. To me this is a good sign because it suggests they will be incentivised to build value for shareholders over the long term. In terms of absolute value, insiders have ₩46b invested in the business, using the current share price. That should be more than enough to keep them focussed on creating shareholder value!
Is ElensysLtd Worth Keeping An Eye On?
ElensysLtd's earnings have taken off like any random crypto-currency did, back in 2017. That sort of growth is nothing short of eye-catching, and the large investment held by insiders certainly brightens my view of the company. At times fast EPS growth is a sign the business has reached an inflection point; and I do like those. So yes, on this short analysis I do think it's worth considering ElensysLtd for a spot on your watchlist. Still, you should learn about the 2 warning signs we've spotted with ElensysLtd .
