Reply (BIT:REY) Is Aiming To Keep Up Its Impressive Returns

If you're not sure where to start when looking for the next multi-bagger, there are a few key trends you should keep an eye out for. One common approach is to try and find a company with returns on capital employed (ROCE) that are increasing, in conjunction with a growing amount of capital employed. Put simply, these types of businesses are compounding machines, meaning they are continually reinvesting their earnings at ever-higher rates of return. Ergo, when we looked at the ROCE trends at Reply (BIT:REY), we liked what we saw.

Understanding Return On Capital Employed (ROCE)

Just to clarify if you're unsure, ROCE is a metric for evaluating how much pre-tax income (in percentage terms) a company earns on the capital invested in its business. The formula for this calculation on Reply is:

Return on Capital Employed = Earnings Before Interest and Tax (EBIT) ÷ (Total Assets - Current Liabilities)

0.22 = €367m ÷ (€2.5b - €826m) (Based on the trailing twelve months to June 2025).

Therefore, Reply has an ROCE of 22%. In absolute terms that's a great return and it's even better than the IT industry average of 17%.

Above you can see how the current ROCE for Reply compares to its prior returns on capital, but there's only so much you can tell from the past. If you're interested, you can view the analysts predictions in our free analyst report for Reply .

What Can We Tell From Reply's ROCE Trend?

We'd be pretty happy with returns on capital like Reply. Over the past five years, ROCE has remained relatively flat at around 22% and the business has deployed 102% more capital into its operations. Now considering ROCE is an attractive 22%, this combination is actually pretty appealing because it means the business can consistently put money to work and generate these high returns. You'll see this when looking at well operated businesses or favorable business models.

In Conclusion...

In short, we'd argue Reply has the makings of a multi-bagger since its been able to compound its capital at very profitable rates of return. However, over the last five years, the stock has only delivered a 38% return to shareholders who held over that period. That's why it could be worth your time looking into this stock further to discover if it has more traits of a multi-bagger.

On the other side of ROCE, we have to consider valuation. That's why we have a FREE intrinsic value estimation for REY on our platform that is definitely worth checking out.

Between 2003 and 2011, gold nearly went 5x. Dollar went weak too. The gold companies did bad. It is worth noting that between 2003 and 2011, there was 2008! I will leave it your inference and research.
