These 4 Measures Indicate That Poddar Housing and Development (NSE:PODDARHOUS) Is Using Debt In A Risky Way

How Healthy Is Poddar Housing and Development's Balance Sheet?
We can see from the most recent balance sheet that Poddar Housing and Development had liabilities of ₹1.72b falling due within a year, and liabilities of ₹2.98b due beyond that. On the other hand, it had cash of ₹80.5m and ₹58.9m worth of receivables due within a year. So it has liabilities totalling ₹4.55b more than its cash and near-term receivables, combined.
The deficiency here weighs heavily on the ₹1.40b company itself, as if a child were struggling under the weight of an enormous back-pack full of books, his sports gear, and a trumpet. So we definitely think shareholders need to watch this one closely. After all, Poddar Housing and Development would likely require a major re-capitalisation if it had to pay its creditors today.
