Insiders Give Up ₹735k As Vilas Transcore Stock Drops To ₹351

The recent 13% drop in Vilas Transcore Limited's (NSE:VILAS) stock could come as a blow to insiders who purchased ₹4.25m worth of stock at an average buy price of ₹425 over the past 12 months. Insiders purchase with the hope of seeing their investments increase in value over time. However, due to recent losses, their initial investment is now only worth ₹3.51m, which is not great.

While insider transactions are not the most important thing when it comes to long-term investing, logic dictates you should pay some attention to whether insiders are buying or selling shares.

Vilas Transcore Insider Transactions Over The Last Year

The MD & Chairman Nilesh Patel made the biggest insider purchase in the last 12 months. That single transaction was for ₹4.2m worth of shares at a price of ₹425 each. That means that an insider was happy to buy shares at above the current price of ₹351. While their view may have changed since the purchase was made, this does at least suggest they have had confidence in the company's future. We always take careful note of the price insiders pay when purchasing shares. Generally speaking, it catches our eye when an insider has purchased shares at above current prices, as it suggests they believed the shares were worth buying, even at a higher price. Nilesh Patel was the only individual insider to buy during the last year.
