An Insider At Dah Sing Financial Holdings Lowered Their Holding Recently

Insiders were net sellers of Dah Sing Financial Holdings Limited's (HKG:440 ) stock during the past year. That is, insiders sold more stock than they bought.

While insider transactions are not the most important thing when it comes to long-term investing, we do think it is perfectly logical to keep tabs on what insiders are doing.

The Last 12 Months Of Insider Transactions At Dah Sing Financial Holdings

Over the last year, we can see that the biggest insider sale was by the Group GM & Executive Director, Tsu-Hing Wong, for HK$1.9m worth of shares, at about HK$8.11 per share. That means that an insider was selling shares at slightly below the current price (HK$35.56). When an insider sells below the current price, it suggests that they considered that lower price to be fair. That makes us wonder what they think of the (higher) recent valuation. While insider selling is not a positive sign, we can't be sure if it does mean insiders think the shares are fully valued, so it's only a weak sign. We note that the biggest single sale was only 6.2% of Tsu-Hing Wong's holding. Tsu-Hing Wong was the only individual insider to sell over the last year.
