Aptamer Group Independent Non-Executive Chairman & Scientific Advisory Board Member Acquires 2.9% More Stock

Simply Wall St

Even if it's not a huge purchase, we think it was good to see that Adam Hargreaves, the Independent Non-Executive Chairman & Scientific Advisory Board Member of Aptamer Group PLC (LON:APTA) recently shelled out UK£50k to buy stock, at UK£0.01 per share. However, it only increased their shares held by 2.9%, and it wasn't a huge purchase by absolute value, either.

Aptamer Group Insider Transactions Over The Last Year

In fact, the recent purchase by Independent Non-Executive Chairman & Scientific Advisory Board Member Adam Hargreaves was not their only acquisition of Aptamer Group shares this year. Earlier in the year, they paid UK£0.0031 per share in a UK£61k purchase. We do like to see buying, but this purchase was made at well below the current price of UK£0.011. Because the shares were purchased at a lower price, this particular buy doesn't tell us much about how insiders feel about the current share price.

Aptamer Group insiders may have bought shares in the last year, but they didn't sell any. The average buy price was around UK£0.0043. To my mind it is good that insiders have invested their own money in the company. However, we do note that they were buying at significantly lower prices than today's share price. The chart below shows insider transactions (by companies and individuals) over the last year. By clicking on the graph below, you can see the precise details of each insider transaction!
