Insiders were net sellers of Wise plc's (LON:WISE ) stock during the past year. That is, insiders sold more stock than they bought.
While we would never suggest that investors should base their decisions solely on what the directors of a company have been doing, logic dictates you should pay some attention to whether insiders are buying or selling shares.

The Last 12 Months Of Insider Transactions At Wise
Over the last year, we can see that the biggest insider sale was by the insider, Matthew Briers, for UK£869k worth of shares, at about UK£6.81 per share. That means that an insider was selling shares at slightly below the current price (UK£7.87). As a general rule we consider it to be discouraging when insiders are selling below the current price, because it suggests they were happy with a lower valuation. However, while insider selling is sometimes discouraging, it's only a weak signal. We note that the biggest single sale was only 41% of Matthew Briers's holding. Matthew Briers was the only individual insider to sell over the last year.

Insider Ownership
I like to look at how many shares insiders own in a company, to help inform my view of how aligned they are with insiders. We usually like to see fairly high levels of insider ownership. Wise insiders own about UK£1.8b worth of shares (which is 23% of the company). This kind of significant ownership by insiders does generally increase the chance that the company is run in the interest of all shareholders.
