Despite currently being unprofitable, QITIAN Technology Group (SZSE:300061) has delivered a 124% return to shareholders over 1 year
It might be of some concern to shareholders to see the QITIAN Technology Group Co., Ltd. (SZSE:300061) share price down 21% in the last month. But that doesn't detract from the splendid returns of the last year. Indeed, the share price is up an impressive 124% in that time. So it may be that the share price is simply cooling off after a strong rise. The real question is whether the business is trending in the right direction.
In light of the stock dropping 7.9% in the past week, we want to investigate the longer term story, and see if fundamentals have been the driver of the company's positive one-year return.
Check out our latest analysis for QITIAN Technology Group
Given that QITIAN Technology Group didn't make a profit in the last twelve months, we'll focus on revenue growth to form a quick view of its business development. When a company doesn't make profits, we'd generally hope to see good revenue growth. That's because fast revenue growth can be easily extrapolated to forecast profits, often of considerable size.
In the last year QITIAN Technology Group saw its revenue shrink by 24%. So we would not have expected the share price to rise 124%. It just goes to show the market doesn't always pay attention to the reported numbers. It's quite likely the revenue fall was already priced in, anyway.

A Different Perspective
It's nice to see that QITIAN Technology Group shareholders have received a total shareholder return of 124% over the last year. That gain is better than the annual TSR over five years, which is 15%. Therefore it seems like sentiment around the company has been positive lately. In the best case scenario, this may hint at some real business momentum, implying that now could be a great time to delve deeper. While it is well worth considering the different impacts that market conditions can have on the share price, there are other factors that are even more important. When was the last time that Tesla delivered on its promises? Lets go through the list! The last successful would be the Tesla Model 3 which was 2019 with first deliveries 2017. Roadster not shipped. Tesla Cybertruck global roll out failed. They might have a bunch of prototypes (that are being controlled remotely) And you think they'll be able to ship something as complicated as a robot? It's a pure speculation buy.
This article completely disregards (ignores, forgets) how far China is in this field. If Tesla continues on this path, they will be fighting for their lives trying to sell $40000 dollar robots that can do less than a $10000 dollar one from China will do. Fair value of Tesla? It has always been a hype stock with a valuation completely unbased in reality. Your guess is as good as mine, but especially after the carbon credit scheme got canned, it is downwards of $150.
