Insiders Who Purchased CA$3.31m Of INEO Tech Stock May Not Have Expected 13% Tumble
The recent 13% drop in INEO Tech Corp.'s (CVE:INEO) stock could come as a blow to insiders who purchased CA$3.31m worth of stock at an average buy price of CA$0.05 over the past 12 months. This is not good as insiders invest based on expectations that their money will appreciate over time. However, as a result of recent losses, their original investment is now worth only CA$2.31m.
Although we don't think shareholders should simply follow insider transactions, logic dictates you should pay some attention to whether insiders are buying or selling shares.
The Last 12 Months Of Insider Transactions At INEO Tech
In the last twelve months, the biggest single purchase by an insider was when Director Kerem Akbas bought CA$2.3m worth of shares at a price of CA$0.05 per share. That means that even when the share price was higher than CA$0.035 (the recent price), an insider wanted to purchase shares. It's very possible they regret the purchase, but it's more likely they are bullish about the company. We always take careful note of the price insiders pay when purchasing shares. Generally speaking, it catches our eye when insiders have purchased shares at above current prices, as it suggests they believed the shares were worth buying, even at a higher price.
