Biography

TVA Group Inc. operates a communications company in Canada. It operates through four segments: Broadcasting, Magazines, Film Production & Audiovisual Services, and Production & Distribution. The Broadcasting segment creates, produces, and broadcasts entertainment, sports, news, and public affairs programming, as well as engages in commercial production; operates a French-language television network, as well as provides nine specialty services; and markets digital products associated with various televisual brands. The Magazines segment publishes magazines in various fields, such as the arts, entertainment, television, fashion, and decoration; markets digital products associated with various magazine brands; and provides custom publishing services. The Film Production & Audiovisual Services segment offers soundstage, mobile, and equipment rental services, as well as dubbing, postproduction and visual effects. The Production & Distribution segment produces and distributes television shows, movies, and television series worldwide. The company was formerly known as Télé-Métropole Inc. and changed its name to TVA Group Inc. in February 1998. TVA Group Inc. was founded in 1960 and is headquartered in Montreal, Canada. TVA Group Inc. is a subsidiary of Quebecor Media Inc.
