Have Insiders Sold Minsud Resources Shares Recently?

We note that the Minsud Resources Corp. (CVE:MSR) Director, Paul Andersen, recently sold CA$79k worth of stock for CA$1.17 per share. It might not be a huge sale, but it did reduce their holding size 15%, hardly encouraging.

Minsud Resources Insider Transactions Over The Last Year

Notably, that recent sale by Director Paul Andersen was not the only time they sold Minsud Resources shares this year. They previously made an even bigger sale of -CA$96k worth of shares at a price of CA$1.25 per share. We generally don't like to see insider selling, but the lower the sale price, the more it concerns us. It's of some comfort that this sale was conducted at a price well above the current share price, which is CA$1.10. So it may not tell us anything about how insiders feel about the current share price.

Paul Andersen sold a total of 170.80k shares over the year at an average price of CA$1.17. Insider Ownership

Another way to test the alignment between the leaders of a company and other shareholders is to look at how many shares they own. A high insider ownership often makes company leadership more mindful of shareholder interests. It appears that Minsud Resources insiders own 16% of the company, worth about CA$29m. This level of insider ownership is good but just short of being particularly stand-out. It certainly does suggest a reasonable degree of alignment.
