Endeavour Mining Insiders Sell US$12m Of Stock, Possibly Signalling Caution
Over the past year, many Endeavour Mining plc (TSE:EDV) insiders sold a significant stake in the company which may have piqued investors' interest. Knowing whether insiders are buying is usually more helpful when evaluating insider transactions, as insider selling can have various explanations. However, if numerous insiders are selling, shareholders should investigate more.
While insider transactions are not the most important thing when it comes to long-term investing, we would consider it foolish to ignore insider transactions altogether.

Endeavour Mining Insider Transactions Over The Last Year
The insider, Mark Morcombe, made the biggest insider sale in the last 12 months. That single transaction was for CA$2.6m worth of shares at a price of CA$33.10 each. So we know that an insider sold shares at around the present share price of CA$31.83. While we don't usually like to see insider selling, it's more concerning if the sales take place at a lower price. Insider Ownership
Many investors like to check how much of a company is owned by insiders. Usually, the higher the insider ownership, the more likely it is that insiders will be incentivised to build the company for the long term. Endeavour Mining insiders own 6.6% of the company, currently worth about CA$511m based on the recent share price. This kind of significant ownership by insiders does generally increase the chance that the company is run in the interest of all shareholders.
