Simply Wall St

Whilst it may not be a huge deal, we thought it was good to see that the Kalamazoo Resources Limited (ASX:KZR) Independent Non-Executive Director, Angus Middleton, recently bought AU$101k worth of stock, for AU$0.091 per share. While we're hesitant to get too excited about a purchase of that size, we do note it increased their holding by a solid 32%.

Kalamazoo Resources Insider Transactions Over The Last Year

In fact, the recent purchase by Angus Middleton was the biggest purchase of Kalamazoo Resources shares made by an insider individual in the last twelve months, according to our records. So it's clear an insider wanted to buy, even at a higher price than the current share price (being AU$0.091). While their view may have changed since the purchase was made, this does at least suggest they have had confidence in the company's future. To us, it's very important to consider the price insiders pay for shares. Generally speaking, it catches our eye when an insider has purchased shares at above current prices, as it suggests they believed the shares were worth buying, even at a higher price. Angus Middleton was the only individual insider to buy shares in the last twelve months.

Angus Middleton purchased 1.50m shares over the year. The average price per share was AU$0.09. We do note, however, it is possible insiders have an indirect interest through a private company or other corporate structure. Overall, this level of ownership isn't that impressive, but it's certainly better than nothing!
