The Independent Non-Executive Director of Beach Energy Limited (ASX:BPT), Sally-Anne Layman, Just Bought A Few More Shares

Whilst it may not be a huge deal, we thought it was good to see that the Beach Energy Limited (ASX:BPT) Independent Non-Executive Director, Sally-Anne Layman, recently bought AU$75k worth of stock, for AU$1.66 per share. Nevertheless, it only increased their shareholding by a minuscule percentage, and it wasn't a massive purchase by absolute value, either.

Beach Energy Insider Transactions Over The Last Year

In fact, the recent purchase by Sally-Anne Layman was the biggest purchase of Beach Energy shares made by an insider individual in the last twelve months, according to our records. So it's clear an insider wanted to buy, even at a higher price than the current share price (being AU$1.66). Their view may have changed since then, but at least it shows they felt optimistic at the time. To us, it's very important to consider the price insiders pay for shares is very important.
