I approach this company as a user, so my opinion is mainly based on scuttlebut. I have been using Quickbooks since 1997 and the company dropped the ball when it moved from PC based software to cloud or browser based software. The PC based software was excellent. The current iteration of QB is awful and it isn't getting any better. It is in my opinion not only unuseable but also not fit for purpose for maintaining a set of accounting records. Probably why in France it is not an authorised, by the tax authorities, accounting software. It also allows a small businessman to thing he is an accountant and permits entries which should never be allowed. A little knowledge............. There is a certain amount of inertia with use but moving to Sage, Xero or Quickfile (and others) is not as hard as might be thought and if it daunts a business owner, of whatever size, hire someone to do it for you. I have just gone through the process for a business I have just bought it is not hard. I can't imagine the enterprise being any better than the small business program, assuming that it is built on the weak foundation of QuickBooks. Mailchimp was overpaid for and has no moat and is expensive. Karma I know nothing about so I won't comment. I would not invest in Intuit at any price. Regards Michael

I agree with your case. You can say the same for SAP, CRM, NOW, their software is also essential and not easily replaced by AI generated code. The value end users can get from AI agents built within these software tools can be extremely valueble. That is the reason I buy into thes names as well. The market is not on that side currently.

INTU: AI Competition And Weaker 2027 Outlook Will Restrain Future Upside

Intuit's analyst fair value estimate has been updated from $250 to $290 as analysts adjust price targets and valuation assumptions to reflect softer long term revenue growth expectations, higher perceived competitive and AI related risks, and slightly stronger margin and P/E assumptions. Analyst Commentary on Intuit Recent research commentary on Intuit highlights a clear reset in expectations as multiple firms cut price targets and, in some cases, downgraded ratings following the latest fiscal Q4 results and FY27 guidance.
