this company has already proven it can execute and is holding a secret – whoever that hyper scaler is that demands secrecy happens to be about 250 miles away from apples AI components factory. also, the Louisiana location makes perfect sense for a company like Apple and believe me I have no insider information. It’s just something that I find intriguing. Apple Intelligence is definitely scaling and the fact that management has said that this is a US based high grade hyper scaler has people tripped up on the word hyper scaler. that’s because Apple hasn’t been traditionally called the hyper scaler, but it does make sense for something like Apple. They don’t want the heat of creating data centers that require massive amounts of water, etc. so APLD is going to be appealing for them and anyone else that cares about public opinion. APLD could build in the middle of nowhere and companies might make a premium payment for that to happen. Also leasing allows Apple to get around all of the tariff nonsense and bring back manufacturing to the United States temporarily until a new administration might change those rules. Lastly, the Louisiana location in particular interest me because it is very close to international cables, which Apple Intelligence would need in order to service customers and Latin America and other regions. if it turns out being Apple, I would not be shocked and it takes a $30 stock into a very different place. I’m still shocked that the thin liquidity week/month basically has allowed the bears to come out in force and convince people that AI doesn’t have a business. That’s ludicrous. It’s not just about LLM’s. anyone who can’t see what the future holds lacks imagination. we are entering a new digital age and this is about as exciting as it gets. remember the Internet? That wasn’t so interesting in the beginning it was chat rooms on AOL and dial up connections. people are calling bubble before we’ve even built the mechanisms on which AI scales
