JGabriels's Fair Value

SOFI currently trades at around $18.39/share as of close on 2 March. Marking a significant pullback since its 52-week high of ~$32.50 in November last year. This remarkable decline mainly came from broader fintech pressure as well as the company's dilution (SOFI raising capital by issuing new shares) concerns in December. However, underneath macro news and corporate actions, the firms fundamentals as well as recent quarterly results tell us a compelling story of accelerating user scale, product diversification and innovation, and profitability.

With the latest results of SOFI's Q4 2025 released in January of 2026, represented a clear inflection point. Here are a handful of key points from their earnings presentation.

  • Set new records in members and products. Added a record 1.0M new members and 1.6M new products
  • Launch of SoFiUSD. The launch made SoFi the first national bank to issue a stablecoin on a public, permissionless blockchain.
  • Total Deposits grew $4.6B QoQ to nearly $38B
  • Record Adjusted Net Revenue of $1.0B (37% YoY)
  • GAAP Net Income of $174M (17% GAAP Net Income Margin); ninth straight quarter of profitability

With these factors and more, this has highlighted the shift towards higher-margin, through capital-light activities such as interchange fees, loan platform fees, and other non-interest income.

Furthermore, the membership and product adoption rate continues to ramp up. SOFI added an estimate 1million members in Q4 alone, bringing the total to 13.7million (up ~35%YoY). Where products grew even faster to 20.2million (up ~37%YoY). Displaying that every unique member now hold and use multiple products on offer, boosting lifetime value and user stickiness.

Looking ahead, the management's guidance for 2026 was cautiously ambitious yet grounded. A handful of key points were:

  • Total membership growth of at least 30% YoY.
  • Adjusted net revenue around $4.7 billion (~30% growth).
  • Adjusted EBITDA ~$1.6 billion (~34% margin).
  • Adjusted EPS ~$0.60 (up from ~$0.39 in 2025).

At current levels, the stock trades at a roughly 30x forward 2026 and EPS guidance of $0.6. A reasonable value in the context of projected growth rates and margin expansion.

There has also been very recent insider activity where SOFI's CEO, Anthony Noto, purchased an estimate $1million investment value of shares. Which signals insider confidence amid the strong pullback.
