Viewing insider transactions for Five Below, Inc.'s (NASDAQ:FIVE ) over the last year, we see that insiders were net sellers. This means that a larger number of shares were sold by insiders in relation to shares purchased.

Although we don't think shareholders should simply follow insider transactions, we would consider it foolish to ignore insider transactions altogether.

The Last 12 Months Of Insider Transactions At Five Below

The Co-Founder & Executive Chairman, Thomas Vellios, made the biggest insider sale in the last 12 months. That single transaction was for US$1.9m worth of shares at a price of US$187 each. We generally don't like to see insider selling, but the lower the sale price, the more it concerns us. The silver lining is that this sell-down took place above the latest price (US$83.10). So it is hard to draw any strong conclusion from it. The only individual insider seller over the last year was Thomas Vellios.
