Most Popular Narrative: 120.9% Overvalued
According to the most widely followed narrative on Barrick Mining, the fair value sits at $20.44 versus the last close of $45.16, creating a wide gap investors will want to understand.
Commodity super-cycles are generally rare, and the latest one occurred in the mid-2000s when the price of gold spiked 200% on the eve of the Great Recession. Without a significant rise in cost factors, such as labor, rallies in gold and prices at $3,000 like Citi’s analysts foresee in certain scenarios would boost net margins.
Curious how one long cycle view, rising margins, and a richer profit multiple could still point to a lower fair value than today’s price? The full narrative connects those pieces.
Result: Fair Value of $20.44 (OVERVALUED)
Have a read of the narrative in full and understand what's behind the forecasts.
However, those assumptions can break quickly if geopolitical unrest around key assets or tighter environmental rules on new projects begin to have a stronger impact than expected.

Trending Discussion
As a gamer, I would not touch this company now. They are hated by the community and have been releasing major flops on their AAA games during the last 5 years (for good reasons). It is true that the valuation is ridiculously low compared to what the licenses are worth, but if the trend continues the value of those will also decline. Management needs to almost make a 180° turnaround to get things right. I agree that a take-private deal before it is too late might be the best option for an investor entering today. We might also see a split sales of the different studios. It is a very risky play, but potentially with high reward.
