Talos Energy: Trading At A 20%+ Free Cash Flow Yield While Being Accumulated By Carlos Slim

Summary Talos Energy is the fifth largest oil producer in the Gulf of Mexico and the company is expected to deliver solid production growth in the coming quarters. In the first half of 2024, Talos generated free cash flows of approximately $225 million, which is roughly equivalent to $450 million on an annualized basis. Relative to the current market capitalization of $2.1 billion, we are talking about a free cash flow yield north of 20%. The balance sheet is leveraged at 1.0x EBITDA, which I view as reasonable considering the significant free cash flow generation and a diversified portfolio within the Gulf of Mexico. I consider Talos Energy as I buy under $12.00 per share, and I would become a strong buyer below the $10.00 level. In addition, entities controlled by Carlos Slim have been accumulating shares over the last few months. Read the full article on Seeking Alpha
