UFO: The SpaceX IPO Reality Check Makes This The Final Frontier For A While

Summary The Procure Space ETF is rated Sell due to high risk and insufficient return potential at current levels. UFO has fallen over 30% from its 52-week high, with technicals indicating further downside unless a strong bounce materializes soon. The ETF's portfolio combines unprofitable, cash-burning growth stocks and legacy defense names, neither offering clear value or safety. My proprietary ROAR Score flags UFO deep in the red zone; I see value only if it drops another 30% to around $30. Read the full article on Seeking Alpha

Space Sector ETFs - Sound Exciting, Aren't

Despite the rush of capital and indeed revenue into space sector companies, we noted in December last year that the sector ETFs lacked appeal. This was a righteous call as it turned out - both UFO and ARKX are down a great deal since then. The risk-reward in these funds is wrongly skewed in our view and we remain at Neutral on both. We can think of many ways to play the upside in the space sector but ETFs are not one of them. We raise some single-stock ideas below for good measure.

UFO: The Best Exposure To The Space Exploration Industry

To many investors, space is the final frontier. New advancements in technology and artificial intelligence are inching us closer to making large-scale space exploration a reality. Given the industry's substantial total addressable market, I think a small position in a space-themed stock/ETF is a good idea for those interested in investing in disruptive technologies. UFO is a space ETF that investors can buy to diversify their exposure to the space exploration industry. Despite its diversification, UFO still possesses many risks. I recommend holding a small position in UFO (less than 2% of your entire portfolio), as I believe even a modest investment could yield great returns.
