The consensus price target rose 51% to US$191, with the analysts clearly more optimistic about Dave's prospects following this update.

These estimates are interesting, but it can be useful to paint some more broad strokes when seeing how forecasts compare, both to the Dave's past performance and to peers in the same industry. We can infer from the latest estimates that forecasts expect a continuation of Dave'shistorical trends, as the 30% annualised revenue growth to the end of 2025 is roughly in line with the 27% annual revenue growth over the past three years. By contrast, our data suggests that other companies (with analyst coverage) in a similar industry are forecast to see their revenues grow 11% per year. So although Dave is expected to maintain its revenue growth rate, it's definitely expected to grow faster than the wider industry.

The Bottom Line

The most important thing to take away from this upgrade is that analysts lifted their revenue estimates for this year. They're also forecasting more rapid revenue growth than the wider market. With a serious upgrade to expectations and a rising price target, it might be time to take another look at Dave.
