Ark Restaurants Insider Transactions Over The Last Year
The insider Thomas Satterfield made the biggest insider purchase in the last 12 months. That single transaction was for US$137k worth of shares at a price of US$15.73 each. That means that an insider was happy to buy shares at above the current price of US$12.36. While their view may have changed since the purchase was made, this does at least suggest they have had confidence in the company's future. To us, it's very important to consider the price insiders pay for shares. As a general rule, we feel more positive about a stock when an insider has bought shares at above current prices, because that suggests they viewed the stock as good value, even at a higher price. The only individual insider to buy over the last year was Thomas Satterfield.
Thomas Satterfield bought 18.30k shares over the last 12 months at an average price of US$14.90. Insider Ownership Of Ark Restaurants
Looking at the total insider shareholdings in a company can help to inform your view of whether they are well aligned with common shareholders. I reckon it's a good sign if insiders own a significant number of shares in the company. Ark Restaurants insiders own about US$17m worth of shares (which is 44% of the company). This kind of significant ownership by insiders does generally increase the chance that the company is run in the interest of all shareholders.
