Insiders Of PLBY Group Make A Tidy Sum Selling At US$0.69

Simply Wall St

While it’s been a great week for PLBY Group, Inc. (NASDAQ:PLBY) shareholders after stock gained 11%, not so much for insiders who sold stock over the past year. The value of their investment would have been higher had they waited to sell their stock.

Although we don't think shareholders should simply follow insider transactions, we would consider it foolish to ignore insider transactions altogether.

PLBY Group Insider Transactions Over The Last Year

The CEO, President & Director, Ben Kohn, made the biggest insider sale in the last 12 months. That single transaction was for US$127k worth of shares at a price of US$0.62 each. That means that an insider was selling shares at slightly below the current price (US$1.10). When an insider sells below the current price, it suggests that they considered that lower price to be fair. That makes us wonder what they think of the (higher) recent valuation. However, while insider selling is sometimes discouraging, it's only a weak signal. It is worth noting that this sale was only 11% of Ben Kohn's holding.

In the last year PLBY Group insiders didn't buy any company stock. You can see a visual depiction of insider transactions (by companies and individuals) over the last 12 months, below. By clicking on the graph below, you can see the precise details of each insider transaction!
