Microvast Holdings: Sell The Rally On Persistent Funding Needs
Summary Beleaguered lithium-ion battery manufacturer Microvast Holdings surprised market participants with profitable third quarter results, thus causing a 600% rally in the company's common shares. A combination of higher sales and recent cost savings initiatives resulted in the company's first profitable quarter ever. However, free cash flow remained negative, and the company guided for Q4 revenues to decrease sequentially. In addition, backlog decreased to a new twelve-month low.
