Why Does Debt Bring Risk?
Generally speaking, debt only becomes a real problem when a company can't easily pay it off, either by raising capital or with its own cash flow. How Healthy Is McGrath RentCorp's Balance Sheet?
The latest balance sheet data shows that McGrath RentCorp had liabilities of US$219.6m due within a year, and liabilities of US$1.01b falling due after that. Offsetting these obligations, it had cash of US$2.21m as well as receivables valued at US$191.7m due within 12 months. So its liabilities total US$1.03b more than the combination of its cash and short-term receivables.
