He served as the President of Brooks Automation, Inc., from August 6, 2013 to March 31, 2016 and also served as its Chief Operating Officer from January 3, 2012 to March 31, 2016. Mr. Morelli was responsible for all of Brooks' business units including Brooks Product Solutions, Brooks Global Services, Brooks Life Science Systems as well as Global Operations and Global Sales. He served as an Executive Vice President of Brooks Automation, Inc. since January 3, 2012. There, he drove annual growth 15% above the market and improved profits by 80% yearly for the past two years. Mr. Morelli executed a life-sciences market-penetration strategy that achieved $100 million of growth both organically and through mergers and acquisitions. Prior to ECD, he spent 15 years from 1993 to 2007 at United Technologies Corporation in domestic and international roles of increasing scope and responsibility culminating in his appointment as the President of the Carrier Commercial Refrigeration business. He served in product management, marketing, strategy and increasing responsibilities of general management at United Technologies. He served as the Chief Executive Officer and President of Energy Conversion Devices Inc. from September 1, 2007 to May 2011. He began his career as a U.S. Army Officer and helicopter Pilot, serving as a company Commander of an attack helicopter unit. He serves as Chairman of 663447 N.B., Inc. He has been a Director of Columbus McKinnon Corporation since February 28, 2017. He serves as a Director of Business Leaders for Michigan. He served as a Director of Energy Conversion Devices Inc. since September 1, 2007. During a 15-year career he held progressive executive leadership roles, including international assignments and held responsibility for more than $1 billion in revenue leading five operating companies. He has more than 20 years of experience working in global technology and industrial markets. He has product development expertise and has proven track record in building high performing organizations. Mr. Morelli holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Georgia Tech and an MS in Management from M.I.T. Sloan School of Management.

Columbus McKinnon Corporation designs, manufactures, and markets hoists, actuators, rigging tools, digital power control systems, motion control products, and other technologies and systems for commercial and industrial applications worldwide. It offers various electric chain hoists, electric wire rope hoists, hand-operated hoists, winches, lever tools, and air-powered hoists under the Budgit, Chester, CM, Coffing, Little Mule, Pfaff, Shaw-Box, Yale, STAHL, and other brands; below-the-hook tooling, clamps, and textile strappings; and explosion-protected hoists, as well as supplies hoist trolleys. The company also provides alloy and carbon steel chains; alloy chains under the Herc-Alloy brand; load chains and carbon steel welded-link chains; alloy and carbon steel closed-die forged chain attachments, including hooks, shackles, Hammerloks, and master links; and carbon steel forged and stamped products, such as load binders, logging tools, and other securing devices. In addition, it offers power and motion control systems, which comprise AC and DC drive systems, radio remote controls, push button pendant stations, brakes, collision avoidance, and power delivery subsystems, as well as AC and DC digital motion control systems for underground coal mining equipment; industrial components, including mechanical and electromechanical actuators and rotary unions; and DC high-performance elevator drives, AC drives, and regenerative controls.
