With EPS Growth And More, NetJobs Group (STO:NJOB) Makes An Interesting Case
The excitement of investing in a company that can reverse its fortunes is a big draw for some speculators, so even companies that have no revenue, no profit, and a record of falling short, can manage to find investors. Unfortunately, these high risk investments often have little probability of ever paying off, and many investors pay a price to learn their lesson. While a well funded company may sustain losses for years, it will need to generate a profit eventually, or else investors will move on and the company will wither away.
In contrast to all that, many investors prefer to focus on companies like NetJobs Group (STO:NJOB), which has not only revenues, but also profits. While profit isn't the sole metric that should be considered when investing, it's worth recognising businesses that can consistently produce it.

How Fast Is NetJobs Group Growing Its Earnings Per Share?
In business, profits are a key measure of success; and share prices tend to reflect earnings per share (EPS) performance. So for many budding investors, improving EPS is considered a good sign. It's an outstanding feat for NetJobs Group to have grown EPS from kr0.026 to kr0.29 in just one year. While it's difficult to sustain growth at that level, it bodes well for the company's outlook for the future.
Careful consideration of revenue growth and earnings before interest and taxation (EBIT) margins can help inform a view on the sustainability of the recent profit growth. We note that while EBIT margins have improved from 6.9% to 87%, the company has actually reported a fall in revenue by 29%. While not disastrous, these figures could be better.

NetJobs Group isn't a huge company, given its market capitalisation of kr14m. That makes it extra important to check on its balance sheet strength.
Are NetJobs Group Insiders Aligned With All Shareholders?
Theory would suggest that it's an encouraging sign to see high insider ownership of a company, since it ties company performance directly to the financial success of its management. So we're pleased to report that NetJobs Group insiders own a meaningful share of the business. Indeed, with a collective holding of 87%, company insiders are in control and have plenty of capital behind the venture. Intuition will tell you this is a good sign because it suggests they will be incentivised to build value for shareholders over the long term. Although, with NetJobs Group being valued at kr14m, this is a small company we're talking about. So this large proportion of shares owned by insiders only amounts to kr12m. That might not be a huge sum but it should be enough to keep insiders motivated!
While it's always good to see some strong conviction in the company from insiders through heavy investment, it's also important for shareholders to ask if management compensation policies are reasonable. Well, based on the CEO pay, you'd argue that they are indeed. Our analysis has discovered that the median total compensation for the CEOs of companies like NetJobs Group with market caps under kr2.2b is about kr2.6m.
NetJobs Group's CEO took home a total compensation package of kr1.1m in the year prior to December 2023. That's clearly well below average, so at a glance that arrangement seems generous to shareholders and points to a modest remuneration culture. CEO remuneration levels are not the most important metric for investors, but when the pay is modest, that does support enhanced alignment between the CEO and the ordinary shareholders. Generally, arguments can be made that reasonable pay levels attest to good decision-making.
Does NetJobs Group Deserve A Spot On Your Watchlist?
NetJobs Group's earnings have taken off in quite an impressive fashion. The cherry on top is that insiders own a bucket-load of shares, and the CEO pay seems really quite reasonable. The strong EPS improvement suggests the businesses is humming along. NetJobs Group certainly ticks a few boxes, so we think it's probably well worth further consideration.
