Returns On Capital Are Showing Encouraging Signs At Inforich (TSE:9338)
To find a multi-bagger stock, what are the underlying trends we should look for in a business? Amongst other things, we'll want to see two things; firstly, a growing return on capital employed (ROCE) and secondly, an expansion in the company's amount of capital employed. This shows us that it's a compounding machine, able to continually reinvest its earnings back into the business and generate higher returns. Speaking of which, we noticed some great changes in Inforich's (TSE:9338) returns on capital, so let's have a look.
What Is Return On Capital Employed (ROCE)?
For those who don't know, ROCE is a measure of a company's yearly pre-tax profit (its return), relative to the capital employed in the business. To calculate this metric for Inforich, this is the formula:
Return on Capital Employed = Earnings Before Interest and Tax (EBIT) ÷ (Total Assets - Current Liabilities)
0.15 = JP¥1.8b ÷ (JP¥21b - JP¥9.2b) (Based on the trailing twelve months to June 2025).
Therefore, Inforich has an ROCE of 15%. On its own, that's a standard return, however it's much better than the 10% generated by the Consumer Services industry.

So How Is Inforich's ROCE Trending?
The fact that Inforich is now generating some pre-tax profits from its prior investments is very encouraging. Shareholders would no doubt be pleased with this because the business was loss-making four years ago but is is now generating 15% on its capital. In addition to that, Inforich is employing 255% more capital than previously which is expected of a company that's trying to break into profitability. We like this trend, because it tells us the company has profitable reinvestment opportunities available to it, and if it continues going forward that can lead to a multi-bagger performance.
On a side note, we noticed that the improvement in ROCE appears to be partly fueled by an increase in current liabilities. The current liabilities has increased to 44% of total assets, so the business is now more funded by the likes of its suppliers or short-term creditors. Given it's pretty high ratio, we'd remind investors that having current liabilities at those levels can bring about some risks in certain businesses.
In Conclusion...
Long story short, we're delighted to see that Inforich's reinvestment activities have paid off and the company is now profitable. And since the stock has fallen 55% over the last year, there might be an opportunity here. That being the case, research into the company's current valuation metrics and future prospects seems fitting.
Inforich does have some risks though, and we've spotted 1 warning sign for Inforich that you might be interested in.
