Growth Investors: Industry Analysts Just Upgraded Their Iren SpA (BIT:IRE) Revenue Forecasts By 11%

Simply Wall St

Iren SpA (BIT:IRE) shareholders will have a reason to smile today, with the analysts making substantial upgrades to next year's statutory forecasts. The consensus estimated revenue numbers rose, with their view now clearly much more bullish on the company's business prospects.

Following the upgrade, the most recent consensus for Iren from its three analysts is for revenues of €6.7b in 2025 which, if met, would be a meaningful 11% increase on its sales over the past 12 months. Statutory earnings per share are presumed to increase 9.6% to €0.23. Previously, the analysts had been modelling revenues of €6.0b and earnings per share (EPS) of €0.22 in 2025. Sentiment certainly seems to have improved in recent times, with a nice increase in revenue and a modest lift to earnings per share estimates.

With these upgrades, we're not surprised to see that the analysts have lifted their price target 11% to €2.60 per share.

Another way we can view these estimates is in the context of the bigger picture, such as how the forecasts stack up against past performance, and whether forecasts are more or less bullish relative to other companies in the industry. It's pretty clear that there is an expectation that Iren's revenue growth will slow down substantially, with revenues to the end of 2025 expected to display 8.6% growth on an annualised basis. This is compared to a historical growth rate of 13% over the past five years. Juxtapose this against the other companies in the industry with analyst coverage, which are forecast to grow their revenues (in aggregate) 3.4% per year. So it's pretty clear that, while Iren's revenue growth is expected to slow, it's still expected to grow faster than the industry itself.

The Bottom Line

The most important thing to take away from this upgrade is that analysts upgraded their earnings per share estimates for next year, expecting improving business conditions. They also upgraded their revenue estimates for next year, and sales are expected to grow faster than the wider market. There was also an increase in the price target, suggesting that there is more optimism baked into the forecasts than there was previously. Given that analysts appear to be expecting substantial improvement in the sales pipeline, now could be the right time to take another look at Iren.

With that said, the long-term trajectory of the company's earnings is a lot more important than next year. At Simply Wall St, we have a full range of analyst estimates for Iren going out to 2027, and you can see them free on our platform here..
