Gefran S.p.A., together with its subsidiaries, engages in the design, production, and sale of automation components and industrial sensors in Italy, Europe, North America, South America, Asia, and internationally. The company offers a range of power controllers, solid state relays, and motor start products for controlling linear and non-linear resistive loads, infrared lamps, and transformers; and controllers and programmers, and indicators and alarm units suitable for measuring and controlling the main industrial process variables. It also provides temperature sensors, including thermocouples and resistance thermometers used in measuring temperatures in the industrial sector; strain and force sensors for measuring compression, tensile, bending, and deformation forces; pressure transducers and transmitters for measuring the pressure of fluids in industrial and mobile hydraulics markets; and position sensors, such as linear and angular position transducers used for detecting the position of mechanical parts in motion.
