Did Zen Technologies Limited (NSE:ZENTEC) Insiders Buy Up More Shares?
It is not uncommon to see companies perform well in the years after insiders buy shares. Unfortunately, there are also plenty of examples of share prices declining precipitously after insiders have sold shares. So before you buy or sell Zen Technologies Limited (NSE:ZENTEC), you may well want to know whether insiders have been buying or selling.
Do Insider Transactions Matter?
Most investors know that it is quite permissible for company leaders, such as directors of the board, to buy and sell stock in the company. However, such insiders must disclose their trading activities, and not trade on inside information.
Insider transactions are not the most important thing when it comes to long-term investing. But it is perfectly logical to keep tabs on what insiders are doing. As Peter Lynch said, 'insiders might sell their shares for any number of reasons, but they buy them for only one: they think the price will rise'.

The Last 12 Months Of Insider Transactions At Zen Technologies
Over the last year, we can see that the biggest insider sale was by the insider, Tara Atluri, for ₹138m worth of shares, at about ₹76.47 per share. That means that an insider was selling shares at slightly below the current price (₹87.35). When an insider sells below the current price, it suggests that they considered that lower price to be fair. That makes us wonder what they think of the (higher) recent valuation. While insider selling is not a positive sign, we can't be sure if it does mean insiders think the shares are fully valued, so it's only a weak sign. This single sale was 64% of Tara Atluri's stake. The only individual insider seller over the last year was Tara Atluri.
Over the last year, we can see that insiders have bought 2.20m shares worth ₹167m. But insiders sold 1.80m shares worth ₹138m. This kind of significant ownership by insiders does generally increase the chance that the company is run in the interest of all shareholders.
