Gland Pharma Insider Transactions Over The Last Year

In the last twelve months, the biggest single sale by an insider was when the insider, K. Raju, sold ₹27m worth of shares at a price of ₹1,800 per share. That means that an insider was selling shares at below the current price (₹1,823). As a general rule we consider it to be discouraging when insiders are selling below the current price, because it suggests they were happy with a lower valuation. While insider selling is not a positive sign, we can't be sure if it does mean insiders think the shares are fully valued, so it's only a weak sign. This single sale was just 45% of K. Raju's stake.

Insider Ownership

Another way to test the alignment between the leaders of a company and other shareholders is to look at how many shares they own. I reckon it's a good sign if insiders own a significant number of shares in the company. From looking at our data, insiders own ₹104m worth of Gland Pharma stock, about 0.03% of the company. However, it's possible that insiders might have an indirect interest through a more complex structure. I generally like to see higher levels of ownership.
