Is Now The Time To Put Orbit Technologies (TLV:ORBI) On Your Watchlist?
Some have more dollars than sense, they say, so even companies that have no revenue, no profit, and a record of falling short, can easily find investors. But as Warren Buffett has mused, 'If you've been playing poker for half an hour and you still don't know who the patsy is, you're the patsy.' When they buy such story stocks, investors are all too often the patsy.
If, on the other hand, you like companies that have revenue, and even earn profits, then you may well be interested in Orbit Technologies (TLV:ORBI). Even if the shares are fully valued today, most capitalists would recognize its profits as the demonstration of steady value generation. Loss-making companies are always racing against time to reach financial sustainability, but time is often a friend of the profitable company, especially if it is growing.

How Fast Is Orbit Technologies Growing Its Earnings Per Share?
In the last three years Orbit Technologies's earnings per share took off like a rocket; fast, and from a low base. So the actual rate of growth doesn't tell us much. Thus, it makes sense to focus on more recent growth rates, instead. Like a firecracker arcing through the night sky, Orbit Technologies's EPS shot from US$0.12 to US$0.29, over the last year. Year on year growth of 148% is certainly a sight to behold.
Careful consideration of revenue growth and earnings before interest and taxation (EBIT) margins can help inform a view on the sustainability of the recent profit growth. The good news is that Orbit Technologies is growing revenues, and EBIT margins improved by 7.3 percentage points to 12%, over the last year. That's great to see, on both counts.

Orbit Technologies isn't a huge company, given its market capitalization of ₪373m. That makes it extra important to check on its balance sheet strength.
Are Orbit Technologies Insiders Aligned With All Shareholders?
I like company leaders to have some skin in the game, so to speak, because it increases alignment of incentives between the people running the business, and its true owners. So it is good to see that Orbit Technologies insiders have a significant amount of capital invested in the stock. Indeed, they hold US$50m worth of its stock. That's a lot of money, and no small incentive to work hard. Those holdings account for over 13% of the company; visible skin in the game.
Should You Add Orbit Technologies To Your Watchlist?
Orbit Technologies's earnings have taken off like any random crypto-currency did, back in 2017. That EPS growth certainly has my attention, and the large insider ownership only serves to further stoke my interest. At times fast EPS growth is a sign the business has reached an inflection point; and I do like those. So yes, on this short analysis I do think it's worth considering Orbit Technologies for a spot on your watchlist. Of course, just because Orbit Technologies is growing does not mean it is undervalued. If you're wondering about the valuation, check out this gauge of its price-to-earnings ratio, as compared to its industry.
Although Orbit Technologies certainly looks good to me, I would like it more if insiders were buying up shares. If you like to see insider buying, too, then this free list of growing companies that insiders are buying, could be exactly what you're looking for.
