Gr. Sarantis Insider Transactions Over The Last Year

In fact, the recent purchase by Vice Chairman & CEO Kyriakos Sarantis was not their only acquisition of Gr. Sarantis shares this year. Earlier in the year, they paid €8.15 per share in a €571k purchase. That means that an insider was happy to buy shares at around the current price of €9.02. While their view may have changed since the purchase was made, this does at least suggest they have had confidence in the company's future. If someone buys shares at well below current prices, it's a good sign on balance, but keep in mind they may no longer see value. The good news for Gr. Sarantis share holders is that insiders were buying at near the current price.

Over the last year, we can see that insiders have bought 309.35k shares worth €1.3m. But insiders sold 20.00k shares worth €171k. Overall, Gr. Sarantis insiders were net buyers during the last year. They paid about €4.31 on average. To my mind it is good that insiders have invested their own money in the company. However, you should keep in mind that they bought when the share price was meaningfully below today's levels.
