Stock Analysis
Insiders who purchased UK£47.0k worth of Tracsis plc (LON:TRCS) shares over the past year recouped some of their losses after price gained 11% last week. The purchase, however, has proven to be a pricey bet, with losses currently totalling UK£22k.
Although we don't think shareholders should simply follow insider transactions, we do think it is perfectly logical to keep tabs on what insiders are doing.

Tracsis Insider Transactions Over The Last Year
Over the last year, we can see that the biggest insider purchase was by Independent Non Executive Director Ross Paterson for UK£42k worth of shares, at about UK£8.75 per share. That means that even when the share price was higher than UK£4.30 (the recent price), an insider wanted to purchase shares. Their view may have changed since then, but at least it shows they felt optimistic at the time. In our view, the price an insider pays for shares is very important. Generally speaking, it catches our eye when insiders have purchased shares at above current prices, as it suggests they believed the shares were worth buying, even at a higher price.
While Tracsis insiders bought shares during the last year, they didn't sell. You can see a visual depiction of insider transactions (by companies and individuals) over the last 12 months, below. If you want to know exactly who sold, for how much, and when, simply click on the graph below!
