Bluesky Digital Assets Insiders Lose Out As Stock Sinks To CA$0.14

The recent 28% drop in Bluesky Digital Assets Corp.'s (CSE:BTC) stock could come as a blow to insiders who purchased CA$174.6k worth of stock at an average buy price of CA$0.21 over the past 12 months. Insiders invest with the hopes of seeing their money grow in value over time. However, as a result of recent losses, their initial investment is now only worth CA$116.9k, which is not what they expected.

While we would never suggest that investors should base their decisions solely on what the directors of a company have been doing, we do think it is perfectly logical to keep tabs on what insiders are doing.

Bluesky Digital Assets Insider Transactions Over The Last Year

In fact, the recent purchase by Independent Director Alan Grant was not their only acquisition of Bluesky Digital Assets shares this year. Earlier in the year, they paid CA$0.28 per share in a CA$112k purchase. So it's clear an insider wanted to buy, even at a higher price than the current share price (being CA$0.14). It's very possible they regret the purchase, but it's more likely they are bullish about the company. In our view, the price an insider pays for shares is very important. As a general rule, we feel more positive about a stock when an insider has bought shares at above current prices, because that suggests they viewed the stock as good value, even at a higher price. Alan Grant was the only individual insider to buy shares in the last twelve months.

Alan Grant bought a total of 835.00k shares over the year at an average price of CA$0.21. The chart below shows insider transactions (by companies and individuals) over the last year.
