One Gunpoint Exploration Insider Raised Their Stake In The Previous Year
From what we can see, insiders were net buyers in Gunpoint Exploration Ltd.'s (CVE:GUN ) during the past 12 months. That is, insiders acquired the stock in greater numbers than they sold it.
Although we don't think shareholders should simply follow insider transactions, we would consider it foolish to ignore insider transactions altogether.
Gunpoint Exploration Insider Transactions Over The Last Year
Notably, that recent purchase by Chairman P. Reifel was not the only time they bought Gunpoint Exploration shares this year. Earlier in the year, they paid CA$0.45 per share in a CA$102k purchase. That means that an insider was happy to buy shares at around the current price of CA$0.45. While their view may have changed since the purchase was made, this does at least suggest they have had confidence in the company's future. If someone buys shares at well below current prices, it's a good sign on balance, but keep in mind they may no longer see value. Happily, the Gunpoint Exploration insider decided to buy shares at close to current prices. P. Reifel was the only individual insider to buy shares in the last twelve months.
P. Reifel bought a total of 642.00k shares over the year at an average price of CA$0.45. The chart below shows insider transactions (by companies and individuals) over the last year. We do note, however, it is possible insiders have an indirect interest through a private company or other corporate structure. Whilst better than nothing, we're not overly impressed by these holdings.
What Might The Insider Transactions At Gunpoint Exploration Tell Us?
The recent insider purchase is heartening. We also take confidence from the longer term picture of insider transactions.
