Blue Star Gold Insider Transactions Over The Last Year
Notably, that recent purchase by Georg Pollert is the biggest insider purchase of Blue Star Gold shares that we've seen in the last year. So it's clear an insider wanted to buy, even at a higher price than the current share price (being CA$0.075). While their view may have changed since the purchase was made, this does at least suggest they have had confidence in the company's future. In our view, the price an insider pays for shares is very important. As a general rule, we feel more positive about a stock if insiders have bought shares at above current prices, because that suggests they viewed the stock as good value, even at a higher price.

Insider Ownership of Blue Star Gold
Many investors like to check how much of a company is owned by insiders. I reckon it's a good sign if insiders own a significant number of shares in the company. Blue Star Gold insiders own about CA$10m worth of shares (which is 56% of the company). Most shareholders would be happy to see this sort of insider ownership, since it suggests that management incentives are well aligned with other shareholders.
What Might The Insider Transactions At Blue Star Gold Tell Us?
The recent insider purchases are heartening. And the longer term insider transactions also give us confidence. But on the other hand, the company made a loss during the last year, which makes us a little cautious. Along with the high insider ownership, this analysis suggests that insiders are quite bullish about Blue Star Gold. That's what I like to see!
