Numerous Pason Systems Insiders Sold Stock: Not A Positive Omen

Quite a few Pason Systems Inc. (TSE:PSI) insiders sold their shares over the past year, which may be a cause for concern. When evaluating insider transactions, knowing whether insiders are buying is usually more beneficial than knowing whether they are selling, as the latter can be open to many interpretations. However, shareholders should take a deeper look if several insiders are selling stock over a specific time period.

While we would never suggest that investors should base their decisions solely on what the directors of a company have been doing, we would consider it foolish to ignore insider transactions altogether.

Pason Systems Insider Transactions Over The Last Year

Over the last year, we can see that the biggest insider sale was by the insider, Russell Smith, for CA$224k worth of shares, at about CA$17.25 per share. While we don't usually like to see insider selling, it's more concerning if the sales take place at a lower price. The good news is that this large sale was at well above current price of CA$12.31. So it may not tell us anything about how insiders feel about the current share price.
