Investors who take an interest in Mattr Corp. (TSE:MATR) should definitely note that the Independent Director, Alan Hibben, recently paid CA$10.13 per share to buy CA$502k worth of the stock. However, it only increased shareholding by a small percentage, and it wasn't a huge purchase by absolute value, either.

Mattr Insider Transactions Over The Last Year

Notably, that recent purchase by Independent Director Alan Hibben was not the only time they traded Mattr shares this year. They previously made a sale of -CA$631k worth of shares at a price of CA$11.49 per share. That means that an insider was selling shares at around the current price of CA$10.89. While we don't usually like to see insider selling, it's more concerning if the sales take place at a lower price. Given that the sale took place at around current prices, it makes us a little cautious but is hardly a major concern.

Happily, we note that in the last year insiders paid CA$790k for 74.09k shares. But insiders sold 91.92k shares worth CA$1.0m. Alan Hibben divested 91.92k shares over the last 12 months at an average price of CA$11.12. The chart below shows insider transactions (by companies and individuals) over the last year.
