MSCI: The Index Ecosystem Can Keep Compounding

Summary I rate MSCI Inc. a Buy, as its entrenched index ecosystem creates high switching costs and supports recurring revenue growth. MSCI’s core index business demonstrates strong retention (96.9%), a high EBITDA margin (75.6%), and dual growth levers from subscriptions and asset-based fees. AI integration enhances MSCI’s value proposition, leveraging trusted data and client workflows, while private assets offer additional upside despite current margin pressure. My FY2028 EPS estimate is ~$25.60, supporting a potential share price of $725–$875 if recurring growth and AI monetization materialize. Read the full article on Seeking Alpha
