Genuine Marketing Group Inc. and Ignite Dispensary Launch ZPTAG Cannabis Beta Test - Delivering Compliance, Verification & Consumer Trust from Seed to Shopping Aisle
Genuine Marketing Group Inc. announced the Beta Launch of ZPTAG® in the Cannabis vertical, in partnership with Ignite Dispensary, marking a significant leap in cannabis transparency, compliance, and consumer engagement. Beta testing will begin on June 20th, engaging the full supply chain within Ignite Dispensary's Wisconsin operations. From seed origin to post-purchase verification, ZPTAG® offers a patent-pending blockchain solution and smartphone application that ensures government compliance, supply chain visibility, and brand integrity--delivering trust and confidence at every stage of the cannabis journey. ZPTAG® builds on GMGZ's successful Carbon Intensity (CI) pilot, providing CI scoring and monetization models for farmers and cooperatives for their environmental stewardship. With this new cannabis beta, the goal is to reward good actors in the regulated cannabis market through a secure, automated platform that authenticates each product and provides real-time access to testing, sourcing, and certification for all stakeholders, including the consumer as part of their retail shopping experience. During the beta, a curated group of Ignite Dispensary's California stores will sell 9 SKUs across pre-rolls, gummies, and snack mixes, each uniquely tagged for full lifecycle tracking, including product transformations, lab results (COAs), packaging, and logistics milestones. The announcement, made live at the Benzinga Cannabis Capital Conference in Chicago, reflects GMGZ's commitment to bridging cannabis innovation and consumer confidence. With hundreds of leading investors, operators, and thought leaders gathered, the ZPTAG®? Cannabis Beta Launch represents a major step forward in compliance technology--ensuring that brands and retailers can compete on quality, trust, and verified transparency. GMGZ's presence at Benzinga affirms its leadership in blockchain-backed product authentication and its role in elevating standards across cannabis, hemp, and wellness sectors. Following this beta, GMGZ will begin expanded testing with other hemp-derived products including THC-infused setzers, tinctures, flower, and regulated cannabis strains, with national rollout plans targeting Fourth Quarter 2025 and First Quarter 2026.
