BioMarin: Commercial Infrastructure Is The Hidden Growth Asset

Summary BioMarin is evolving into a scalable rare-disease commercialization platform, leveraging its infrastructure for new product launches and lifecycle management. The $4.8B Amicus acquisition adds GALAFOLD and POMBILITI/OPFOLDA, driving revenue growth and operating leverage, but increases near-term financial risk. VOXZOGO's expansion into hypochondroplasia and ongoing lifecycle management underpin a robust skeletal franchise, despite intensifying competition and upcoming regulatory milestones. BMRN trades at a material valuation discount to biotech peers despite 20% 2026 revenue growth guidance, with upside dependent on execution, Amicus integration, and franchise defense.
