AdvanSix: Challenges Persist, My Downgrade Was Correct

Summary AdvanSix (ASIX) faces significant short-term headwinds, with a 90% net income drop and negative FCF in 2Q26, driving a >20% share price decline. ASIX's structurally advantageous single-feedstock model is outweighed by weak end-market demand, limited pricing power, and high exposure to cyclical sectors like fertilizers and nylon. I lower my price target to $16/share, reflecting prolonged macro weakness and industry overcapacity; recovery is expected to take 5-6 quarters or longer. ASIX is rated 'Hold' due to unattractive risk/reward, excessive macro risk, and limited near-term upside despite cheap valuation. Read the full article on Seeking Alpha
